Company History
In the 1950's Milton "Bill" Poole enlisted in the United States Air Force,becoming an officer for the military police, and soon wanted something different. Looking into different occupations within the military that he could utilize in the civilian world, sheet metal fabrication stood out. After learning commercial sheet metal fabrication, Bill finished his term of service and concentrated on his family. Bill attended night classes at Tucson High for blue print reading and layout. He also worked for some of the largest HVAC shops in Tucson as a lead installer and shop Forman. Bill took time to hone his skills and worked for the asarco and anamax mines in fabrication, fiberglass, paint, and mechanics. While still working for the mine Bill started a small company called "Poole Enterprises" which was a family operated business, doing anything from concrete, plumbing and framing to heating and air. Bill taught all three of his sons to do everything related to the industry. Bill's oldest son, James, eventually went to school for HVAC, obtained a contractor's license and changed the name of Poole Enterprises into Poole Heating and Cooling, Inc. James continued to build what his father had started along with his father, as well as his brother Dean and his son Ben.
Poole Heating and Cooling would continue to be a family owned and operated business until closing down in 2005. Three solid generations of customer driven HVAC service had ended, leaving Tucson customers with mostly large HVAC companies to do business with, many of which were concerned more about the business of making money rather than the customers themselves. James Poole’s son, Ben, went to work for several other HVAC companies after his father's business closed and was shocked at how their customers and employees were treated. Realizing that he could no longer work for companies with low levels of integrity and customer service, "Trusted" was born. A new partnership was formed with a friend, Andrew Dobbins, who also had years of experience in the industry and who’s expertise and experience perfectly balanced Ben’s. Together they built Trusted Heating and Cooling from the integrity, honesty, respect and customer driven service that was the Poole family tradition. Today Trusted employs all 3 generations of the Poole family including Bill “Grandpa” Poole, with a strong history going back 55 years.
